New Music: Mac Summer – Suddenly The Rain

New Zealand-based producer Mac Summer made his debut on this blog last summer when Jane shared his track Transformation. Now that’s summer’s on the horizon, it feels like the right time to share some more of his music. His latest is called Suddenly The Rain.

There’s something wonderfully familiar about Mac’s electronic dance style, but also something elevated about it too. The track opens slow and ethereal before launching into sublime liquid drum and bass. Soulful vocals hang over everything ethereally and the track is infused with a rich sense of heartbreak and hopefulness.
