New Music: Let It Go

New Zealand-based producer and DJ Mac Summer has featured on this blog a couple of times before. We first discovered his music in the summer of 2022 and were impressed by his mix of styles. His latest is an otherworldly drum and bass track called Let It Go.

Opening ambient, Let It Go creates a strong sense of atmosphere from the off. A percussive groove quickly kicks in, as do ethereal, pleading vocals, before things get down and dirty with some fuzzy bass. It’s definitely one for drum and bass enthusiasts but the vibe is so compelling it’s hard to imagine anyone not falling in love with it a little bit.

Well known in the DnB scene in New Zealand for a long time it feels right for Mac Summer to be getting a little more international attention. We’re certainly fans of him here. I hope you will be too. You can check out Let It Go below.
